Seventh-ranked Rosa II Radom (9-12) made lots of trouble for second ranked UMKS Kielce (16-5) on Saturday. The visitors from Kielce managed to secure only three-point victory 72-69. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Rosa II Radom. The guests trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 19-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. UMKS Kielce forced 26 Rosa II Radom turnovers. Strangely Rosa II Radom outrebounded UMKS Kielce 46-34 including 37 on the defensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when UMKS Kielce made 13 blocks. The best player for the winners was center Dariusz Wyka (207-91) who scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Artur Busz (194-88) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. The former international forward Pawel Wiekiera (206-78) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and Filip Zegzula added 14 points and 4 steals respectively for the hosts. Four Rosa II Radom players scored in double figures. Rosa II Radom's coach Karol Gutkowski rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. UMKS Kielce have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain second place in Group C with 16-5 record having seven points less than leader Open Florentyna. Newly promoted Rosa II Radom dropped to the ninth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Staco MNLK. UMKS Kielce are looking forward to face league's leader PWiK Piaseczno at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rosa II Radom will play against UKS Siemaszka (#11) in Piekary and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
