There was a surprise result when sixth ranked Comsum.it SI (9-20) beat second-best Torino (18-12) in Siena 78-70 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Torino won third quarter 19-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Comsum.it SI made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. It was a good game for swingman Andrea Colli (203-88, agency: Players Group) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Gabriele Spizzichini (195-92) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Five Comsum.it SI players scored in double figures. Luca Fontecchio (202-91, agency: Players Group) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and guard Marco Portannese (192-89, agency: Players Group) added 18 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Torino. Comsum.it SI moved-up to fifth place. Torino lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the third position with 12 games lost. Comsum.it SI will face higher ranked Mazzeo San Severo (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Torino will play against Santarcangelo in Sant'Arcangelo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
