Very important is a road loss of third ranked SKK Siedlce (16-8) against eleventh ranked AZS Szczecin (11-13) on Saturday night. Visiting SKK Siedlce was edged by AZS Szczecin in a tough game in Szczecin 76-78. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of SKK Siedlce. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But SKK Siedlce won third quarter 15-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. AZS Szczecin made 19-of-25 charity shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 24 SKK Siedlce turnovers. Swingman Krzysztof Mielczarek (198-81) orchestrated the victory by scoring 7 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Maciej Majcherek (190-82) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Swingman Kamil Sulima (192-80) replied with 26 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Radoslaw Basinski (188-78) added 9 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for SKK Siedlce. AZS Szczecin maintains eleventh position with 11-13 record. SKK Siedlce at the other side dropped to the second place with eight games lost. They share the position with Sokol Lancut. AZS Szczecin will play against higher ranked Spojnia (#7) in Stargard in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
