Regular Season Round 9: Taiwan Beer - Bank of Taiwan 82-78

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Taiwan Beer (11-8) defeated bottom-ranked Bank of Taiwan (3-17) 82-78 on Saturday. Taiwan Beer took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Bank of Taiwan won third quarter 19-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was international guard Chin-Min Yang (188-84) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists. The former international center Hsiao-Yuan Ha (200-81) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Taiwan Beer's coach Chun-San Chou allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Hsiao-Wen Chuan (190-83) who recorded 25 points and 4 steals and forward Yu-Chih Chen (193-84) added 20 points and 9 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) respectively. Five Taiwan Beer and four Bank of Taiwan players scored in double figures. Taiwan Beer moved-up to second place. Bank of Taiwan lost their ninth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 17 games lost. Taiwan Beer will face league's leader Pure Youth in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bank of Taiwan will play against KKL (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
