Very important is a road loss of third ranked Handlopex AZS (13-8) against fourth ranked Tur Bielsk Pdl. (14-7) on Saturday night. Visiting Handlopex AZS was defeated by Tur Bielsk Pdl. in a tough game in Bielsk Podlaski 70-79. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Handlopex AZS. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Tur Bielsk Pdl. made 25-of-32 charity shots (78.1 percent) during the game. They also forced 28 Handlopex AZS turnovers and outrebounded them 50-30 including a 37-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Arkadiusz Zabielski (195-84) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists. Center Adam Cwikowski (203-79) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Forward Piotr Ucinek (196-80) answered with 21 points and guard Jakub Musijowski (175-87) added 17 points in the effort for Handlopex AZS. Four Handlopex AZS players scored in double figures. Handlopex AZS's coach Mariusz Michalczyk tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Tur Bielsk Pdl. moved-up to third place in Group C. Handlopex AZS at the other side dropped to the fourth position with eight games lost. Tur Bielsk Pdl. will play against Unia Tarnow (#7) on the road in the next round. Handlopex AZS will play against MKS Limbach in Limanowa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
