There was no surprise when 15th ranked Sudety (3-22) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked AZS Kutno (13-11) 66-54 on Saturday. The game without a history. AZS Kutno led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Sudety to just 7 points in fourth quarter. AZS Kutno dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Sudety's 32. The best player for the winners was forward Aleks Perka (201-87, college: Rice, agency: Stanley International) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. The former international swingman Mariusz Bacik (207-72) chipped in 9 points and 7 rebounds. AZS Kutno's coach Jaroslaw Krysiewicz used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Forward Jaroslaw Wilusz (200-85) produced 6 points and 10 rebounds and guard Tomasz Prostak (187-88) added 13 points respectively for the guests. Newly promoted AZS Kutno maintains eighth position with 13-11 record. Sudety lost fifth consecutive game. Sudety at the other side, also newcomer in the league, stay dead last with 22 lost games. AZS Kutno will face higher ranked SKK Siedlce (#3) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Sudety will play against Polonia (#10) in Przemysl.
