The game without a history. Bayer Giants led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Giessen Pointers' players. Giessen Pointers were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Till-Joscha Joenke (189-92) scored 18 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Jack Eggleston (203-88, college: Pennsylvania, agency: Pro One Sports) chipped in 23 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Bayer Giants players scored in double figures. Swingman Zeljko Pavlovic (194-80) responded with 22 points and American forward Jarrel Smith (200, college: Concordia Irvine) scored 23 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
