We should mention about the upset which took place in Oviedo, where higher ranked Leyma Basquet (10-8) lost to tenth ranked Feve Oviedo (6-12) in a road game 82-89 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 26-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward David Ortega (199-84) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized American swingman Howard Brown (198-77, college: Villanova, agency: Interperformances) who added 20 points during the contest. Naturalized Venezuelan power forward Javier Roman (207-80) responded with 14 points and American power forward Kim Adams (203-82, college: Arkansas St., agency: Strategic Sports) scored 9 points and 8 rebounds. Five Feve Oviedo and four Leyma Basquet players scored in double figures. Leyma Basquet's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Feve Oviedo maintains tenth position with 6-12 record. Leyma Basquet lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh place with eight games lost. Feve Oviedo will meet higher ranked Fontedoso Carrefour (#9) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Leyma Basquet will play against Plasencia Extremadura and hope to secure a win.
