The game in Bereldange was also quite interesting. 4th ranked Etzella (11-11) played at the court of sixth ranked Residence (11-11). Residence managed to secure a 7-point victory 96-89 on Saturday. Etzella trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 24-19 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 89-96 at the end of the game. Residence made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game, while Etzella only scored six points from the stripe. Etzella was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for international swingman Pitt Koster (178-89) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and 5 assists. U.S. Virgin Islands forward Jerome Gumbs (194-82, college: USF) contributed with 24 points and 6 rebounds for the winners.
