Regular Season Round 30: Pall.Trento - Firenze 93-78

There was no surprise when 6th ranked Firenze (8-21) lost on the road to first ranked Trento (20-9) 93-78 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Trento. Firenze was better in fourth quarter 27-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for the former international forward Walter Santarossa (200-78) who led his team to a victory with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Naturalized Argentinian point guard Andres Forray (187-86) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Four Trento players scored in double figures. Forward Stefano Spizzichini (202-90) replied with 19 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and swingman Alessandro Amici (200-91) added 18 points in the effort for Firenze. Trento maintains first position with 20-9 record. Newly promoted Firenze keeps the sixth place with 21 games lost. Trento will face Anagni (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Firenze will play against Matera and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
