Regular Season Round 30: Recanati - Anagni 75-79

Very important is a home loss of first ranked Recanati (15-13) against sixth ranked Anagni (11-17) on Sunday night. Host Recanati was defeated by Anagni in a tough game in Recanati 75-79. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 79-75. Anagni forced 21 Recanati turnovers and outrebounded them 37-24 including 26 on the defensive glass. Recanati was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for guard Valerio Circosta (188-87, agency: Two Points) who led his team to a victory with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Naturalized Argentinian center Diego Corral (205-86, agency: Players Group) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) for the winners. Forward Attilio Pierini (201-81) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and guard Marco Evangelisti (198-84) added 22 points in the effort for Recanati. Anagni maintains sixth position with 11-17 record. Loser Recanati dropped to the second place with 13 games lost. Anagni will face league's leader Trento at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Recanati will play against Perugia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
