There was a small surprise when sixth ranked Sendai 89ers (19-19) defeated on the road one of their biggest challengers Fukuoka Rizing (24-14) 73-65 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 73-65.
