No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Umbertide (13-8) defeated at home 6th ranked Basket Parma (10-11) 64-58 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 22-9 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was American power forward Tiffany Stansbury (191-83, college: N.Carolina St.) who scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. International forward Sabrina Cinili (190-89) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. Four Umbertide players scored in double figures. Umbertide's coach Lorenzo Serventi used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was Croatian center Sonja Kireta (198-76) who recorded 19 points and French power forward Nicole Antibe (187-74) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Umbertide maintains fourth place with 13-8 record, which they share with Lucca. Basket Parma lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 11 games lost. Umbertide is looking forward to face higher ranked Comense (#3) in Como in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Basket Parma will play at home against Lucca and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
