Regular Season Round 4: Navolato - Guasave 70-58

CIBACOPA top team - Garra Canera de Navolato (4-0) managed to deliver another win on Wednesday. This time they beat eighth ranked Frayles de Guasave (1-3) 70-58. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 70-58. Garra Canera de Navolato outrebounded Frayles de Guasave 40-24 including 26 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Ronald Selleaze (197-76, college: CSU Bakersfield, agency: Dream Team Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds. Forward Froylan Verdugo (196-79) contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Garra Canera de Navolato players scored in double figures. The former international swingman Alonso Izaguirre (200-76) replied with 20 points and naturalized Panamanian forward Gabriel Giron (192-88) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Frayles de Guasave. Frayles de Guasave's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Garra Canera de Navolato have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record, which they share with Tijuana. Frayles de Guasave at the other side dropped to the seventh place with three games lost. They share the position with Cananea. Garra Canera de Navolato is looking forward to face Mineros de Cananea (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Frayles de Guasave will play against Coras de Tepic and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
