Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Real Celta Vigo (8-17) lost at home to fourth ranked Rivas Ecopolis (16-9) 70-60 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 70-60. Quite impressive performance for American guard Essence Carson (183-86, college: Rutgers) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 6 rebounds. International point guard Anna Cruz (173-86, agency: Josep and Nicolas) contributed with 11 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four Rivas Ecopolis players scored in double figures. Brazilian center Damiris Dantas (192-92) answered with 16 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Demetress Adams (193-87, college: S.Carolina) added 9 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Real Celta Vigo. Rivas Ecopolis maintains fourth place with 16-9 record, which they share with Mann Filter. Loser Real Celta Vigo dropped to the tenth position with 17 games lost. Rivas Ecopolis will face Cadi la Seu (#7) in Seu D'urgell in the next round. Real Celta Vigo will play at home against Argon Uni Girona.
