There was an upset in Porlamar where higher ranked Guaiqueries (13-10) were edged by ninth ranked Guaros (6-13) 68-65 on Thursday. The guests trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 18-11 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Guaros held Guaiqueries to an opponent 0.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 0.0 percent accuracy of the winners. American guard Hassan Adams (193-84, college: Arizona) scored 26 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward John Millsap (198-82, college: UTSA) chipped in 18 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Millsap is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.
