An interesting game for Toyota Alvark (28-12) which hosted in Fuchu 4th ranked Hitachi Sunrockers (22-18). Second ranked Toyota Alvark had an easy win 86-69. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Toyota Alvark's pressure prevailed and they won that period 28-16 extending their advantage to 17 points. It was a great shooting night for Toyota Alvark especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. The best player for the winners was international power forward Kosuke Takeuchi (206-85) who scored 15 points. International guard Takeki Shonaka (180-84) chipped in 16 points. American power forward Jamar Smith (206-80, college: Maryland) produced 13 points and 9 rebounds and guard Daisuke Kobayashi (188-87) added 11 points respectively for the guests. They maintain second position with 28-12 record having just two points less than leader Aishin SH. Hitachi Sunrockers lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with 18 games lost. Toyota Alvark's next round opponent will be league's leader Aishin Sea Horses in Kariya and it will be for sure the game of the week.
