The game between closely ranked teams ended with bottom-ranked Coras de Tepic's (0-4) road loss to eighth ranked Frayles de Guasave (2-3) 70-100 on Friday. The game without a history. Frayles de Guasave led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Coras de Tepic's 38. American forward Charles Moore (198, college: S.Arkansas) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds. The former international swingman Alonso Izaguirre (200-76) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Moore is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Frayles de Guasave players scored in double figures. American forward Josh Simmons (193-88, college: Ark.-Fort Smith) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds and Jerard Anderson added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Coras de Tepic. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Frayles de Guasave moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Cananea. Loser Coras de Tepic still closes the standings with four games lost. Frayles de Guasave will face again Coras de Tepic (#9) at home in the next round.
