Regular Season Round 10: Pure Youth - Taiwan Mobile 67-79

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Pure Youth (18-5) against fifth ranked Taiwan Mobile on Friday night. Taiwan Mobile were defeated by fifth ranked Taiwan Mobile (10-12) 79-67. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Pure Youth. The game without a history. Taiwan Mobile led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian power forward Ryan Wright (206-87, college: Oklahoma) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 16 rebounds. Guard Jing-Huan Chen (190-86) contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Quincy Davis (206-83, college: Tulane) replied with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 21 rebounds and 5 blocks and guard Shih-Chieh Chen (176-84) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Pure Youth. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Pure Youth's coach Chin-Tse Hsu rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Taiwan Mobile have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 10-12 record. Pure Youth at the other side still keeps top place with five games lost. Taiwan Mobile are looking forward to face KKL (#6) in the next round. Pure Youth will play against Yulon Luxgen (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
