Regular Season Round 28: Hamar - Haukar 60-95

The game in Hamar supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Haukar (15-13) played at the court of 8th ranked Hamar (6-22). Haukar smashed Hamar 95-60 on Saturday. The game without a history. Haukar led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Hamar's 34. Haukar forced 20 Hamar turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Jence Rhoads (180-88, college: Vanderbilt) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists and guard Gunnhildur Gunnarsdottir (173-90) who added 18 points during the contest. Five Haukar players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international forward Fanney Gudmundsdottir (178-89) responded with 19 points and American Samantha Murphy (172-88, college: Grand Canyon) scored 13 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Haukar have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 15-13 record. Hamar lost sixth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 22 lost games. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
