Regular Season Round 45: Okinawa GK - Miyazaki SS 87-67

Leader Okinawa GK delivered the 33th win on Saturday night. This time they crushed 7th ranked Miyazaki Shining Suns (18-23) 87-67. The game was mostly controlled by Okinawa GK. Miyazaki Shining Suns managed to win second period 15-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was British power forward Dzaflo Larkai (203-81, college: Bellarmine) who scored 18 points. American Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Five Okinawa GK players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward O'Neal Mims (208-83, college: Angelo St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import center Darryl Dora (206-85, college: Texas Tech) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Okinawa GK maintains first place with 33-8 record. Miyazaki Shining Suns at the other side keep the seventh position with 23 games lost. Okinawa GK are again looking forward to face Miyazaki Shining Suns (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Miyazaki Shining Suns will have a break next round.
