The game between third ranked Musel Pikes (13-10) and fifth ranked Amicale (12-11) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Musel Pikes was defeated by Amicale in Stadrbredimus 86-75. The guests trailed by 12 points at the halftime before their 52-29 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Cameroonian forward Yves Mekongo (201-87, college: La Salle, agency: Dynamics Global Management) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and international guard Christopher Jones (188-90) chipped in 25 points and 6 rebounds. Mekongo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Amicale moved-up to fourth place in League. Musel Pikes at the other side keeps the third position with ten games lost. Amicale are looking forward to face Residence (#6) in Bereldange in the next round. Musel Pikes will play at home against the league's second-placed Sparta in Bertrange and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
