Regular Season Round 45: Akita NH - Shinshu BW 83-64

Very predictable result when second ranked Akita Happinets (24-17) outscored at home 7th ranked Shinshu BW (15-24) 83-64 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Akita Happinets. Shinshu BW managed to win third quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Akita Happinets forced 31 Shinshu BW turnovers. American swingman Ricky Woods (194-84, college: SE Louisiana) stepped up and scored 17 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and his fellow American import Mychal Kearse (194-83, college: Mt.St.Mary's, agency: Gamble Sports Management) chipped in 10 points and 11 rebounds. Akita Happinets' coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American power forward Lee Roberts (201-87, college: Findlay, OH) with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds and Saito Yosuke (184-85) scored 15 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Akita Happinets maintains second place with 24-17 record having nine points less than leader Hamamatsu P. Loser Shinshu BW keeps the seventh position with 24 games lost. Akita Happinets will again meet at home Shinshu BW (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Shinshu BW will have a break next round.
