There was an upset when higher ranked Wisla AWF Kr. (10-12) was edged on the road by twelfth ranked Pulaski Warka (5-17) 54-53 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Wisla AWF Kr. won third quarter 23-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Wisla AWF Kr. 40-24 including 28 on the defensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Pulaski Warka made 9 blocks. The best player for the winners was Tomasz Galan (-89) who had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Pawel Adamczyk (186-84) chipped in 9 points, 5 assists and 6 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international swingman Grzegorz Radwan (200-80) who recorded 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 blocks and guard Jakub Dwernicki (180-86) added 16 points respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted Pulaski Warka maintains twelfth position in Group C with 5-17 record. Loser Wisla AWF Kr. dropped to the sixth place with 12 games lost. Pulaski Warka will face higher ranked Novum Lublin (#6) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
