The hosts were already 13 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 25-13 Bayer Giants' run in the last quarter cut the lead to 70-69 at the end of the game. Bayer Giants were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Derrick Stevens (180-80, college: Colorado St.) who led the winners and scored 27 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Felix Rotaru (200-79) accounted for 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Stevens is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American forward Jack Eggleston (203-88, college: Pennsylvania, agency: Pro One Sports) came up with 22 points and 7 rebounds and guard Farid Sadek (188-83) added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Bayer Giants in the defeat.
