Important game to mention about took place in Lappeenranta. Eighth ranked LrNMKY (14-21) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 6th ranked KTP-Basket (15-21) 84-82 on Saturday evening. KTP-Basket was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 26-15 third quarter run of LrNMKY. American players dominated the game. It was a great evening for guard DeAndre Haynes (187-84, college: Kent St., agency: Court Side) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. Forward Tyler Tiedeman (201-85, college: Boise St., agency: Interperformances) helped adding 17 points. Five LrNMKY players scored in double figures. LrNMKY's coach Lassi Tuovi allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was forward Tim Blue (205-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 14 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) and swingman Tony Crocker (201-87, college: Oklahoma) scored 28 points and 6 rebounds. LrNMKY maintains eighth place with 14-21 record. KTP-Basket at the other side dropped to the seventh position with 21 games lost. LrNMKY will play against league's second-placed Loimaan Korikonkarit on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. KTP-Basket will play against Kouvot (#9) in Kouvola and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
