Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked Sportino (5-20) lost on the road to eleventh ranked AZS Szczecin (12-13) 82-72 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by AZS Szczecin. Sportino managed to win third quarter 22-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. AZS Szczecin forced 21 Sportino turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when AZS Szczecin made 9 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Krzysztof Mielczarek (198-81) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Lukasz Pacocha (182-82) accounted for 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for AZS Szczecin. They moved-up to tenth place, which they share with P.Cukier SIDEn. Sportino lost their third game in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with 20 games lost. AZS Szczecin will meet at home higher ranked Spojnia (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sportino will play against AZS Kutno (#8) and hope to secure a win.
