Regular Season Round 21: Eos - Brahe Basket 74-79

There was no surprise when 9th ranked IK Eos (6-15) lost to fourth ranked Brahe Basket (14-8) in Lund 74-79 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 28-22 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Brahe Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to IK Eos' 38. IK Eos were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Jamaican center Hugh Robinson (202-83) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds. Forward Andreas Cahilig (192-91) contributed with 11 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Forward Taino Bendz (191-88) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Adnan Karovic (187-88) added 19 points in the effort for IK Eos. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. The victory was the third consecutive win for Brahe Basket. They maintain fourth place in South with 14-8 record. Loser IK Eos dropped to the eighth position with 15 games lost. Brahe Basket will face Helsingborg (#7) at home in the next round. IK Eos will play against the league's leader Malbas in Malmo.
