There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked Norrkoping BK (5-14) crushed higher ranked Sanda Basket (6-15) in Huskvarna 94-52 on Saturday. The game without a history. Norrkoping BK led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Sanda Basket was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for naturalized Bosnian forward Dzenis Sogolj (202-95) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Marcus Davidsson (197-90) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five Norrkoping BK players scored in double figures. Guard Alexander Russom (191-95) answered with 9 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Johan Ganstrand (192-93) added 12 points and 5 steals in the effort for Sanda Basket. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Norrkoping BK moved-up to eleventh place in South. Loser Sanda Basket keeps the eighth position with 15 games lost. Norrkoping BK will face higher ranked Fryshuset (#10) in Stockholm in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
