The game was mostly controlled by Oettinger Rockets Gotha. Spot Up Medien Baskets managed to win second period 27-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Spot Up Medien Baskets 38-19 including a 29-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Leo Niebuhr (208-86) stepped up and scored 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and American swingman Marcus Monk (198-86, college: Arkansas, agency: The House of Baller!Stars) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. Oettinger Rockets Gotha's coach Marko Simic felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side center Daniel Theis (207-92) responded with 14 points and 7 rebounds and guard Dennis Schroeder (186-93) scored 15 points and 4 assists.
