LF2 top team - Ros Casares (24-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Cadi la Seu (13-12) in Seu D'urgell 81-53. The game was mostly controlled by Ros Casares. Cadi la Seu managed to win third quarter 18-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Cadi la Seu 46-30 including 32 on the defensive glass. Ros Casares looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Belgian center Ann Wauters (194-80, agency: Josep and Nicolas) nailed 25 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winning side and Australian power forward Lauren Jackson (196-81) accounted for 13 points and 10 rebounds. Irish-Canadian center Margaret De Ciman (200-84) came up with 20 points and Latvian guard Kristine Karklina (175-83) added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Cadi la Seu in the defeat. Cadi la Seu's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Ros Casares have an impressive series of twenty four victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 24-0 record. Loser Cadi la Seu dropped to the seventh position with 12 games lost. Ros Casares will meet at home Joventud Mariana (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cadi la Seu will play against Rivas Ecopolis and hope to secure a win.
