Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked Virtus Cagliari (9-12) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Muggia (15-7) 57-39 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Muggia. Virtus Cagliari was better in second period 12-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Virtus Cagliari to just 7 points in third quarter. Muggia held Virtus Cagliari to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 29.5 percent accuracy of the winners. Muggia forced 25 Virtus Cagliari turnovers.
