Very expected game when 10th ranked Cajarural (8-17) lost to second ranked Perfumerias Avenida (22-3) in Zamora 71-78 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 12 points after three quarters before their 26-7 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Perfumerias Avenida dominated on the defensive end, holding Cajarural to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Quite impressive performance for American guard DeWanna Bonner (193-87, college: Auburn, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 8 rebounds. The former international forward Marta Fernandez (178-81) contributed with 24 points for the winners. American forward Bernice Mosby (186-84, college: Baylor) answered with 32 points and 9 rebounds and Polish forward Daria Mieloszynska (188-83, college: Texas, agency: Data Plus Group) added 13 points in the effort for Cajarural. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Perfumerias Avenida. They maintain second place with 22-3 record having just -16 point less than leader Ros Casares. Newly promoted Cajarural keeps the tenth position with 17 games lost. Perfumerias Avenida will face bottom-ranked Ibiza (#14) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Cajarural will play against Navarra Pamplona (#13).
