Regular Season Round 21: CFBB - Reims 79-66

Bottom-ranked CFBB managed to get a fifth victory on Saturday night. This time they won against twelfth-ranked Reims in Paris 79-66. The game was mostly controlled by CFBB. Reims managed to win second period 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Reims 39-24 including 24 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was forward Assitan Kone (190-95) who scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Mamignan Toure (180-94) chipped in 18 points. Four CFBB players scored in double figures. CFBB's coach Gregory Halin used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Mali center Astan Dabo (203-92) who recorded 18 points and 9 rebounds and Croatian power forward Iva Grbas (188-87) added 19 points and 5 rebounds respectively. CFBB maintains fourteenth place with 5-16 record. Reims at the other side keeps the twelfth position with 15 games lost. CFBB are looking forward to face higher ranked Le Havre (#13) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Reims will play against Dunkerque and is hoping to win this game.
