The game between closely ranked teams ended with 8th ranked LKS Sphinx's (4-26) home loss to seventh ranked PBG Basket (9-21) in Lodz 68-87 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by PBG Basket. LKS Sphinx was better in fourth quarter 23-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a very good performance for Serbian guard Djordje Micic (195-83) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. Serbian forward Zarko Comagic (201-85, college: N.Arizona, agency: 011 Sports) contributed with 22 points and 5 assists for the winners. Center Krzysztof Sulima (202-90) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and guard Michal Michalak (194-93) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for LKS Sphinx. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. PBG Basket maintains seventh position in Group B with 9-21 record. LKS Sphinx lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth place with 26 games lost. PBG Basket will face higher ranked Polpharma (#5) in Starogard in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. LKS Sphinx will play at home against the league's second-placed Kotwica having rather not much hope for a victory.
