Regular Season Round 21: Jarva Devils - Taby 67-80

Very expected game when 10th ranked Jarva Devils (7-14) lost at home to second ranked Taby Basket (17-4) 80-67 on Sunday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Taby Basket's pressure prevailed and they won that period 26-20 extending their advantage to 13 points. Taby Basket forced 22 Jarva Devils turnovers and outrebounded them 43-28 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for center David Hult (204-89) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds. Frank Nordin contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four Taby Basket players scored in double figures. Guard Binyam Feghadu (195-89) answered with 33 points (!!!) and guard Dilman Salih (187-80) added 9 points and 5 assists in the effort for Jarva Devils. Both coaches used bench players saving starting five for next games. Taby Basket maintains second place in North with 17-4 record having five points less than leader Malbas. Newly promoted Jarva Devils keep the tenth position with 14 games lost. Taby Basket will face Talje Knights (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Jarva Devils will play against the league's leader White Eagles in Stockholm.
