Important game to mention about was the one when seventh ranked Bank of Taiwan (4-18) saved a 2-point victory edging 6th ranked KKL (8-13) 49-47 on Sunday evening. Bank of Taiwan took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But KKL won third quarter 13-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bank of Taiwan forced 20 KKL turnovers and outrebounded them 51-35 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international forward Chih-Chiang Hsu (194-82) had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American power forward John Vaudreuil (203-85, college: Minn.-Duluth, agency: Warren Sports International) chipped in 8 points and 17 rebounds during the contest. Bank of Taiwan's coach Liang-Chung Lai used entire bench in such tough game. At the losing side American center Elbert Fuqua (211-83, college: UTSA) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds and guard Tse-hua Chou (184-87) scored 16 points. Bank of Taiwan maintains seventh position with 4-18 record. KKL at the other side keeps the sixth place with 13 games lost. Bank of Taiwan will play against league's second-placed Dacin Tigers in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. KKL will play against Taiwan Mobile (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
