Very expected game when 6th ranked Shimane Magic (21-21) lost on the road to second ranked Osaka Evessa (28-12) 85-76 on Sunday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Shimane Magic won third quarter 17-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Osaka Evessa made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Strangely Shimane Magic outrebounded Osaka Evessa 43-26 including 16 on the offensive glass. Quite impressive performance for American forward Michael Bell (206-82, college: Florida Atlantic) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 9 rebounds. Haitian-American swingman Bobby St.Preux (196-80, college: N.Kentucky, agency: KMG Sports Management) contributed with 22 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import forward Benjamin Puckett (205-83, college: Clayton St., agency: I.D.S. Law) added 20 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Shimane Magic. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Osaka Evessa maintains second position with 28-12 record having just one point less than leader Okinawa GK. Shimane Magic lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 21 games lost. Osaka Evessa will face league's leader Okinawa GK on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Shimane Magic will play against Kyoto Hannar. (#3).
