The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Real Madrid as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Real Madrid defeated 7th ranked CAI Zaragoza at home 85-71. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Jaycee Carroll (188-83, agency: Priority Sports) who helped to win the game recording 36 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Kyle Singler (203-88, college: Duke) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Naturalized Brazilian center Rafael Hettsheimer (206-86) answered with 20 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Bracey Wright (191-84, college: Indiana, agency: Priority Sports) added 15 points in the effort for CAI Zaragoza. Four CAI Zaragoza players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with FCB Regal. CAI Zaragoza at the other side keeps the seventh place with 12 games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. CAI Zaragoza will play next round against Assignia Manresa trying to get back on the winning streak.
