Bottom-ranked Coras de Tepic (0-8) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 88-59 loss to second ranked Ostioneros de Guaymas (7-2) in Tepic. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. The game without a history. Ostioneros de Guaymas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Coras de Tepic's 34 and made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ostioneros de Guaymas have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 7-2 record behind leader Hermosillo. Coras de Tepic at the other side still closes the standings with eight games lost. Ostioneros de Guaymas will play against Garra Canera de Navolato (#4) on the road in the next round.
