Bottom-ranked Valur (0-22) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 80-68 loss to sixth ranked Snaefell (13-9) in Reykjavik on Thursday evening. The game without a history. Snaefell led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Snaefell outrebounded Valur 53-42 including 16 on the offensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Snaefell made 8 blocks. Forward Jon Olafur Jonsson (199-81) had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American point guard Marquis Hall (183-87, college: Lehigh) chipped in 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest.
