Regular Season Round 31: Anagni - FCM Ferentino 72-96

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Ferentino (19-11) crushed on the road 6th ranked Anagni (11-18) 96-72 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Ferentino. Anagni was better in second period 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Ferentino dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Anagni's 22. It was a very good performance for guard Francesco Guarino (182-79) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 6 steals. Power forward Antonio Iannuzzi (207-91, agency: Two Points) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Five Ferentino players scored in double figures. Ferentino's coach Franco Gramenzi felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Valerio Circosta (188-87, agency: Two Points) answered with 15 points and naturalized Argentinian center Diego Corral (205-86, agency: Players Group) added 7 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Anagni. Ferentino have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain second place with 19-11 record having just three points less than leader Omegna. Loser Anagni keeps the sixth position with 18 games lost. Ferentino will face league's leader Trieste on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Anagni will play against Casalpusterlengo (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
