Regular Season Round 29: Weert - Zwolle 83-69

There was a minor upset when 5th ranked Zwolle (10-16) lost on the road to seventh ranked Weert (5-20) 83-69 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Weert. Zwolle was better in third quarter 23-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Weert outrebounded Zwolle 51-38 including a 39-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. American center Yamene Coleman (206-86, college: Troy, agency: Court Side) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 20 rebounds. International center Kenneth van Kempen (208-87, college: Ohio, agency: Court Side) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four Weert players scored in double figures. Weert's coach Jim Meil used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Cameron Wells (185-88, college: Citadel, agency: Pro One Sports) answered with 24 points and 6 assists and international forward Gerald Robinson (204-84, college: Tenn-Martin, agency: Court Side) added 10 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Zwolle. Weert maintains seventh place with 5-20 record. Zwolle lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 16 games lost. Weert will face again higher ranked Zwolle (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
