Sixth-ranked Melbourne Tigers (11-17) made lots of trouble for second ranked Perth Wildcats (19-9). The visitors from Perth managed to secure only one-point victory 72-71. However their fans expected much easier game. Melbourne Tigers were ahead by 4 points after three quarters before a 23-18 charge of Perth Wildcats, which allowed them to win the game.
