Second Stage Round 6: T71 - Etzella 87-80

Date: March 23, 2012
Leader T71 delivered the twentiethth victory. This time they beat 5th ranked Etzella (11-13) 87-80 in Dudelange. Etzella was ahead by 1 point after three quarters before a 28-20 charge of T71, which allowed them to win the game. The former international power forward Frank Muller (194-88, college: Cuesta JC) notched 28 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and international guard Tom Schumacher (190-87, college: Cal.Baptist) supported him with 26 points and 4 assists. Even 28 points and 5 rebounds (on 12-of-13 shooting from the field) by Nigerian forward Corey Raji (198-88, college: Boston Coll., agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) did not help to save the game for Etzella. American-Liberian forward Daniel Horace (200-83, college: Miami, OH, agency: KMG Sports Management) added 19 points and 11 rebounds. Etzella's coach Gilles Becker rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion maintains first position in League with 20-4 record. Etzella at the other side dropped to the sixth place with 13 games lost. T71's next round opponent will be Amicale (#5) in Steinsel. Etzella will play at home against Musel Pikes in Stadrbredimus.
