Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked ADBA (9-11) was outscored on the road by second ranked Socinsa Bembibre (16-5) 84-49 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Socinsa Bembibre. ADBA was better in fourth quarter 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding ADBA to just 6 points in third quarter. Socinsa Bembibre dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to ADBA's 26. They outrebounded ADBA 53-22 including a 26-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Socinsa Bembibre's coach Chiqui Barros felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Pamela Moral (175-82) answered with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Portuguese power forward Debora Escorcio (186-84) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for ADBA. Socinsa Bembibre maintains second place in Group A with 16-5 record having 3 victories less than leader Pais Vasco, which they share with Cortegada. Loser ADBA keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost. Socinsa Bembibre will face Aros Leon (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ADBA will play against Pabellon Ourense (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
