Tenth-ranked Saitama Broncos (11-29) gave a tough game to second ranked Akita Happinets (26-17) on Saturday. Akita Happinets managed to secure only three-point victory 97-94. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 97-94. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Akita Happinets have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 26-17 record having just 0 points less than leader Okinawa GK. Saitama Broncos lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 29 games lost. Akita Happinets are again looking forward to face Saitama Broncos (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Saitama Broncos will have a break next round.
