Chiba Jets' road win over 5th ranked Yokohama BC 80-62 was very exciting. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Yokohama BC. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Chiba Jets's pressure prevailed and they won that period 20-9 extending their advantage to 18 points. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. It was a great evening for guard Jamel Staten (198-83, college: Minnesota St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 15 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals. Guard Maurice Hargrow (193-83, college: Minnesota) helped adding 22 points and 6 rebounds. Center Chas McFarland (213-86, college: Wake Forest) responded with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks and forward Justin Burrell (235-88, college: St.John's) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Yokohama BC's coach Reggie Geary tested ten players seeing no chance for a win. Chiba Jets (15-26) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Shinshu BW. Loser Yokohama BC dropped to the sixth position with 21 games lost. Chiba Jets will have a break next round.
