Eighteenth-ranked Blancos de Rueda (6-20) gave a tough game to second ranked Regal FC Barcelona (21-5) in Valladolid on Saturday. The visitors from Barcelona managed to secure only six-point victory 92-86. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 18-11 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 18-12. Regal FC Barcelona made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Slovenian power forward Erazem Lorbek (209-84, college: Michigan St.) scored 22 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international guard Juan Carlos Navarro (192-80) chipped in 23 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) during the contest.
