Regular Season Round 47: Fukuoka Rizing - Oita H.Devils 86-93

Fukuoka Rizing (#4) was upset in Fukuoka by eighth ranked Oita Heat Devils 93-86. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Fukuoka Rizing. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 24-22. But Fukuoka Rizing won second period 20-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Oita Heat Devils won last quarter 29-23. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Fukuoka Rizing's 48. Oita Heat Devils players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward T.J. Cummings (205-81, college: UCLA, agency: Top Notch Sports) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds. Guard Wendell White (198-84, college: UNLV, agency: Top Notch Sports) contributed with 17 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Swingman Kevin Palmer (198-87, college: Texas A&M-CC, agency: VVG Sports) answered with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and power forward Gary Hamilton (208-84, college: Miami, FL, agency: Top Notch Sports) added 14 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Fukuoka Rizing. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Oita Heat Devils (17-23) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain eighth place. Fukuoka Rizing at the other side dropped to the third position with 15 games lost. Oita Heat Devils will have a break next round. Fukuoka Rizing will play again at home against Oita Heat Devils.
